The do's and don'ts on disposing waste and recycling within the property.
Collections for General Waste are on Thursday / Friday.
Collections for Paper & Cardboard are on Thursdays.
Collections for Glass, Cans and Plastic Bottles are on Fridays.
GENERAL WASTE. GREY BINS
There are multiple general waste bins in each property's bin room.
Everything should be in bin bags.
Do not overfill bins (the lid can still close).
Large items (bins, grills, TVs, etc) do not go into these bins. These need to be taken to a local recycling centre, or you can organise them to come and collect from you at a cost.
✅ DO THIS!✅
All items in bags, plenty of space to the top.
❌DO NOT DO THIS.❌
Oversized items are not fit for general bins and won't be collected by Veolia. Hell, they're not even in the bins. All residents will be billed for this.
CARDBOARD. BLUE BINS
There is one cardboard bin in each property's bin room.
This must be cardboard only. Any other parts (plastic, polystyrene) must be removed and put into bin bags for gray bins.
All cardboard must be flattened. Step on it, take it apart properly - it must be flat.
Do not overfill bins (the lid can still close).
✅DO THIS!✅
All items flattened, cardboard only and plenty of space to the top.
❌DO NOT DO THIS.❌
Items unfolded and forced in, overfilled to the absolute brim.
Cans and everything else dumped in a cardboard bin after a night in.
GLASS, CANS & PLASTIC BOTTLES.
GREEN BINS
These are not located in each bin room. Three green bins are along the edge of the wall in the middle of the car park.
No bin bags are required. Put the glasses/cans/plastic bottles in there by itself.
Do not overfill bins (the lid can still close).
